After welcoming two, healthy baby boys into our family with ease from trying to delivery, we were niave in the fact that when we decided to have a third baby, the same would occur. Instead, we were blindsided when we experienced a miscarriage at 10 weeks. For over a year, we navigated our loss and grief on our own and struggled on how to keep our babie's memory alive, the one thing I vowed during those first deep, dark days of grief after losing our baby. I sought therapy about 6 months into my grief journey, which helped but I still felt like something was missing. Shortly after the first year anniversary of our loss (or angelversary which we referred to it as), I found No Foot Too Small, and immediately felt understood without even to having to speak a word. For the next year, I attended Mom's Support Groups virtually once a month and connected with other loss Mom's through the private Facebook group. In May of 2023, we attended our first No Foot Too Small event as a family, Angels In The Outfield, and had such an incredible time connecting with other loss families, remembering our angels, and lastly, celebrating them. I honestly, had no idea that I would even be celebrating our angel! No Foot Too Small has given so much to our family from naming our angel, to helping us to remember, honor, and celebrate Kody, to a support group of a community of people that unfortunately just get it but are truly the best people you'll ever met, and much needed support and encouragement when we found out we were pregnant with our rainbow baby as pregnancy after loss is very challeneging, and finally, ways for our friends and family to remember, honor, and celebrate Kody with us. We are so grateful for this organization and for Kody for connecting us with so many other incredible people.
