Thank you for joining the Night of Wonder presented by Hallmark Cards. We’ve compiled some of our most frequently asked questions and some we had while planning this magical evening. We hope this information will help you have fun while supporting the youngest Kansas Citians in their first steps to a bright future.

General Event Information

Where is the Night of  Wonder?
The Night of Wonder will take place at the Midland Theatre at 1228 Main St, Kansas City, MO 64105.
 
What time does the Night of Wonder start?
Doors open at 5:45 pm, and cocktail hour will begin at 6:00 pm. We suggest all guests arrive no later than 7:00 pm when guests are seated for the main program and dinner.
 
What can I do at the Night of Wonder?
The Night of Wonder will feature live music from the DistrKCT with room to dance, a 360 photo booth, and a featured student art piece. Guests will have the opportunity to support EarlystART’s students through a raffle, live auction, and a paddle raise. EarlystART will premiere our annual mission video during the program, highlighting the impact of our donors' support. No event is complete without complimentary food and beverages!
 
What time does the Night of Wonder end?
The event officially ends at 10 pm, but the program will conclude at 8:45.
 
What is the Night of Wonder dress code?
We recommend Cocktail attire for the Night of Wonder. Cocktail attire is generally interchangeable with a “Semi-Formal” or “Black-Tie Optional” dress. We understand that dress codes are open to interpretation and personal style.  We will not deny entry based on attire. However, there will be live music, so all guests are encouraged to wear clothes they can move and dance in!
 
Is there an age limit?
The Night of Wonder is intended for 21+ guests.
 
Will I be asked to provide my ID?
Guests who order alcoholic beverages at the bar may be asked to provide ID in accordance with the Midland Theatre’s policies.

Parking

Is parking included?
Parking is included at the H&R Block garage for Night of Wonder Guests.
 
How do I park at the H&R Block garage?
You may enter the garage via Main Street or Walnut Street between 13th Street and 14th Street. Please let the attendant know you are parking for the Night of Wonder. Use the Tax Office Elevator to L1 to take you to the ground Level. We have included more detailed instructions here.
 
Do I need a voucher or a validated ticket for free parking?
No voucher or validation is needed to park for free at the H&R Block garage. If the garage is unattended, please use the call button for an attendant to assist you.
 
What If I park somewhere else?
Guests who park in another lot or garage are not guaranteed free parking. The Midland Theatre and EarlystART cannot guarantee, validate, or reimburse parking at another location.
 
Can I drop off guests before parking?
Guests may be dropped off on  13th Street Between Walnut Street and Main Street. Due to traffic, we do not recommend dropping off guests on Main Street.
 
Is valet parking available?
Valet parking is unavailable for the Night of Wonder due to Main Street traffic.

Check-In

When does check-in start?
Check-in will start at 5:45 PM through 7:00 PM.
 
Do I need a ticket to enter?
You do not need a ticket to enter. You should have received a digital ticket if you provided an email address to EarlystART or your host. This may speed up check-in but is not required for entry.
 
Where do I enter the Night of Wonder?
Please use the Main Street entrance of the Midland Theatre to enter the Night of Wonder.
 
Where do I check in?
Check-in will be immediately to your right upon entrance.
 
How does check-in work?
A volunteer will usher you to a check-in station to confirm your registration and payment preference. You will receive your table number and bid card at check-in.
 
Do I have to provide an email address?
Guests are encouraged to provide an email address to receive email receipts of their donations. EalrystART has collected the majority of guests' email addresses before the event. We will request this information if we do not have your address on file.
 
Do I have to provide credit card information?
We recommended using a credit card as a preferred payment method for easy payment. However, we understand that not everyone is comfortable sharing their credit card information and can bypass credit card information collection upon request.

Food and Beverage

How much do drinks cost?
All non-alcoholic beverages and most alcoholic beverages are complimentary for all guests. The Midland Theatre reserves the right to refuse to serve alcoholic beverages to a guest. A complimentary coffee station will open after the main program concludes.
 
Can I order Drinks at my table?
Beverages must be ordered at the bar. Wine will be available at your table during dinner service.
 
Is food served at the Night of Wonder?
Food will be served at the Night of Wonder, including an appetizer station, salad, plated dinner, and dessert.
 
What is the Menu?
Build Your Own Crostini Station with topping options of bruschetta, hummus, pesto, tapenade, whipped goat cheese, Reggiano, roasted artichokes, prosciutto, and Fig Jam.
 
Roasted Beet Salad with arugula, shallot, goat cheese, truffle oil, hazelnut, and lemon vinaigrette dressing on the side.
 
Plated dinner is  Shrimp & Chicken Marsala with garlic, whipped potatoes & buttered broccolini.
 
I have a dietary restriction; are there options available for me?
The caterer has prepared limited additional items to meet dietary restrictions. Please email nightofwonder@earlystartkc.org to ensure you are served a meal that meets these requirements.
 
Do I have to sit at my assigned table?
We ask that all guests sit at their assigned table during dinner service. Guests are encouraged to mingle with old and new friends throughout the evening.
