Jump onboard to support art outreach for local children!
We invite you to join us as we raise funds for NOMADstudio, one of our favorite local nonprofits. Every year they work with children in the foster care system, in the juvenile justice system, and in under-resourced neighborhoods, using art as a tool for bridging gaps and creating more just, caring and resilient communities.
We're passionate about this cause and they need our help!
Last year’s hurricane season greatly impacted local grants for this year, so funding that NOMAD generally counts on for their art outreach programs was unavailable. Then in May, NOMAD's NEA grant was terminated overnight because the federal government changed its funding priorities—both events leaving the organization with an unexpected shortfall.
Many of us have been looking to support more causes close to home.
This is a way to make sure over 2,000 local children—who are experiencing family separation, detention, and other difficult life situations—are able participate in opportunities for healthy, creative expression in a supportive environment. It allows them to feel seen and heard, and lets them know we believe in them!
Every donation, no mattter the amount, helps us reach our fundraising goal. We want to ensure that NOMAD has what they need to keep rolling! They are short $50,000 for the year, but we're starting with a $10,000 goal. Here's how you can help:
- Donate: Contribute whatever you can. No amount is too small and all donations up to $15,000 will be matched 1:1 through Labor Day!
- Spread the Word: Share this fundraising page with your friends, family, and social networks. Let’s spread awareness so we can raise more together!
- Attend a Pay-to-Paint, mini fundraisers that we're co-hosting. You can paint the bus while raising money for NOMAD! (learn more here)
