This little girl proudly showed us the well in St. Louis d'Ayiti--the only one we've seen in the mountains.
Children, adults , and even pack animals carried water from the well.
Students showed off their few textbooks.

North Shore Packathon celebrates our 6th year of packing food for children in Haiti!!!
On October 18 and 19, we're going to pack 50,000 school lunches for the children of St. Louis d'Ayiti.
Haiti has had a difficult year, there is no question about that. However, our children in St. Louis d' Ayiti have continued to go to school and eat each day. In the midst of their country's chaos, there is a ray of daily hope in this small mountain village. Some of our food has been received, and local provisioning has been provided. So we will persist alongside children of SLA. We will pack 50,000 meals on October 18 and 19 at Christ Episcopal Church, 149 Asbury Street in South Hamilton, MA.
Why do I pack each year, some of you ask? I pack because it is a way for me to participate in a local effort for children who are experiencing severe hunger, that is not their doing. I want to make a golbal difference with a local effort. I know you do too. Each year over 600 of you come to join me in persisting on behalf of the chidren of St. Louis d'Ayiti. Efforts are being made to deliver the food through a northern port. Persistence provides creative solutions. By packing, supporting teacher salaries, and providing school textbooks , we are saying," We stand with you and we support your education and your dreams for a better future."
Let's persist together!
Our four packing sessions this year are:
Friday, October 18: 3pm - 5pm and 6pm - 8pm
Saturday, October 19: 9am - 11am and 12pm - 2pm
We will be packing indoors at the parish hall of Christ Church, 149 Asbury St., S. Hamilton, MA . Masks are optional.
Packing is a free event, but we ask you to DONATE NOW to help pay for the food ingredients and to provide workbooks for the 200 children for the 2024-2025 school year.
