I am following up on a few in-person visits I made this summer to on behalf of Future Forward for Haiti, a non-profit organization dedicated to providing food and education for children in Haiti. As a business owner, I invite you to donate a service or experience that helps the North Shore community continue a seven-year tradition of feeding over 200 children in the village of St. Louis d'Ayiti. I am happy to come by in-person again, as I live just down the street in Wenham.
For context, last October, during our annual North Shore Packathon, 364 volunteers from all over the North Shore gathered at Christ Church in Hamilton and packed 50,000 servings for the school children of St. Louis d'Ayiti during the two-day event. However, due to the worsening crisis of gang violence in Haiti we can no longer ensure the safe delivery of pre-packaged food. Therefore, we will send secure funds rather than packaged meals this year. These funds will buy local provisions for the school children in St. Louis d'Ayiti. To provide our 240 students with lunch five days a week, we must raise $40,000.
On October 24, 2025 we will hold a Silent Auction/Fund Raising event at Christ Church, 149 Asbury Street, Hamilton, MA. we are currently seeking items to include in the auction, donated by compassionate and generous businesses such as yours. Many of our past supporters have already expressed a keen interest in attending, so we anticipate a good turnout.
Your donation is tax-deductible. You will receive a receipt from Future Forward for Haiti, a 501(c)(3) charity for the value of your donation. In recognition of your generousity, we will promote your business through our Event Campaign home page and during the event, showcasing your committment to a community even dedicated to helping feed children in the village of St. Louis d'Ayiti.
