Fighting Food Insecurity Together

With more than 200,000 people in Mecklenburg County, including hardworking families, children, veterans, and seniors, facing food insecurity, we work to lift neighbors up by providing choices in groceries and meals that are nourishing and delicious.

However, our work goes beyond ensuring our neighbors have food today. We want to create a community where everyone thrives and has consistent access to the food they need for good health and overall well-being. With our community partners, donors, volunteers, and team members, we’re determined to end food insecurity and create a brighter future for all. Join us to help transform lives one meal at a time.

Here's how you can help:

• Donate funds: Contribute whatever you can. No amount is too small!
• Drop off nonperishable goods in the bins on Morningside Drive: Priority needs are canned meat (tuna, chicken, salmon), canned fruit (no sugar added or in juice), canned vegetables (no salt added or low sodium), pasta (canned or dry boxed) and whole grain cereal. Nourish Up cannot accept food items that are unsealed, expired, loose without listed ingredients, unlabeled or in glass containers. Please donate with care — our neighbors deserve the same quality food you’d serve at your own table rather than unwanted pantry clean-outs.
