I'm the Executive Director, Head Coach, and Founder of the Newport Rowing Club.  Since we started the club in August of 2010, the club has grown and developed consistently to better serve our athletes and their families.  Over the past ten years, NRC has been successful in helping student-athletes get recruited and earn scholarships to row in college and represent their country at World Rowing Championships.  More importantly, NRC helps our student-athletes develop strong yet empathetic leadership skills and fosters in them an unsurpassed commitment to their community, determination in setting and achieving aspirational goals, and an enduring love for the sport of rowing. 

NRC has been closed since March 13th and has continued working hard to provide stability, structure, and support for the 60 athletes and families in its programs. Our goal is to raise $13,000 which will cover just 1 month of NRC's operational costs including staff salaries. With your support NRC athletes will not only have continued structure and support from the dedicated staff now, but we will have a top-notch organization with consistent coaching staff ready to resume training in person as soon as we are able.
