Welcome to No-Shave November 2024!

Put your razors down!

Get ready to let your hair down this No-Shave November! Since 2009, this global fuzz-fest has raised over $12 million for cancer research and awareness by asking folks to skip shaving and donate their savings.

The rules of engagement are simple: put down your razor for 30 days and donate your monthly hair-maintenance expenses to the cause. Strict dress code at work? No problem! We encourage participation of any kind; grooming and trimming are perfectly acceptable.

How to Fur-ticipate

Want to make an even bigger impact? You can grow your hair and donate as an individual or rally a team and donate together. Whether solo or in a group, every contribution adds up to create significant change.

The Short of It:

No-Shave November raises money by encouraging participants to forgo shaving and grooming for the month of November. The idea is to embrace hair, which many cancer patients lose during treatment, and spark conversations about cancer awareness. Here’s how the fundraising works:

  1. Pledge to Grow: Individuals or teams commit to not shaving or grooming for the month. Set up a fundraising page and ask family, friends, and colleagues to donate to your cause.

  2. Redirect Grooming Costs: Donate the money you would normally spend on shaving, grooming, and hair products.

  3. Raise Awareness: Sport your natural look and flaunt it online! Share your fundraising page on social media to raise funds and awareness for cancer prevention, and research.

  4. Corporate and Community Involvement: Some businesses sponsor their employees or customers, while others may match donations or host events like beard-growing contests, further increasing fundraising efforts. Talk to your community and coworkers to see what's possible!

The money raised through No-Shave November is donated to Fight Colorectal Cancer to go towards cancer prevention, patient education, and research.

By joining No-Shave November, you’re not just growing hair; you’re growing hope. Your donations will help fund vital cancer research and support services, proving that every strand counts in the fight against cancer.

The Hairy Tale of No-Shave November

The hairy history of No-Shave November began as a heartfelt tribute from the Hill family to their beloved father, Matthew, who courageously battled colorectal cancer before his passing. In his memory, the family created a Facebook page to raise awareness and honor his legacy. What initially started as a small online community quickly blossomed into a powerful movement.

No-Shave November encourages participants of all genders to embrace their natural hair growth, symbolizing solidarity with cancer patients who often lose their hair due to treatment. This month-long journey invites individuals to forgo shaving and grooming, redirecting the money typically spent on personal care products toward cancer research and support organizations.

As participants sport their untrimmed beards, mustaches, and body hair, they spark conversations, raise awareness, and promote the importance of regular check-ups and early detection. With each hair grown, they contribute to a growing community dedicated to fighting cancer, celebrating life, and honoring those affected by this disease. Join us this November to not only embrace your hair but also to make a meaningful impact in the fight against cancer!
