Our desire to support this cause stems from our baby boy, Zachary James. On March 10th, at a 20 week pregnancy sonogram, the maternal fetal medicine doctors discovered Zachary's heart did not develop correctly in the first few weeks of pregnancy. We were sent to Children's Hospital of Philadelphia where he was diagnosed in utero with a CHD called Tetralogy of Fallot, which requires surgery within the first 6 months after birth.

Your fundraising fuels vital research for congenital heart defects - the most common birth defect, affecting 1 in 110 babies. Through The Children's Heart Foundation's research grants, they fund innovative treatments and surgical advances that help children with CHD live longer, healthier lives.
