NAHNU SOMALIA

No one should have to face a humanitarian crisis.

We Are Somalia

Nearly 7 out of 10 Somalis live in poverty

We Need YOUR Help

As much as we’ve been able to achieve in helping our brothers and sisters in need, there is still so much more to do. If we work together—with YOU—we can make the vision of a better living condition for our vulnerable Somalis a reality.

  • To support the recovery of livelihoods and infrastructure in flood and drought affected areas and strengthen capacity for disaster preparedness worldwide

  • The nation's lack of enforcement of policies by the government has led to such a humanitarian crisis (decaying economy, decentralized government, mass amount of unemployed adults etc.)

Did you know that covid cases have begun to surge this March? What can you do to lesson the blow?

Homelessness, hunger, poverty, lack of clean water access, sanitation, and health care, are all problems that Somalia is struggling to manage.

This is especially problematic in the midst of a pandemic when developing nations, like Somalia, are not equipped with the privilege and resources to properly handle covid's spread.

Islamic Relief is dedicated to serving people in need and providing them with essential and lasting resources.

As Islam teaches us, sadaqah jariyah benefits people long-term and earns the giver rewards even following their death. These projects include ...

  • formation of water wells
    • to provide steady sources of clean drinking water for people
  • creating soap and water stations
    • to give people access to soap and clean water for handwashing to contain the spread of COVID-19
  • establishing hospitals and clinics
    • to give people the treatment they need and deserve
  • distributing better technologies
    • to prevent children, especially young girls, from falling behind in remote education
  • drought and flash flood relief
    • to allow Somalis to be better equipped in the face of a natural disaster
  • employment aid
    • sales and employment are contracted by about 30%
      • to prevent this alarming statistic from rising and supporting those a part of it

Ramadan is arriving and this type of sadaqah is more important than ever, and it is so impactful to these communities.

So donate whatever you can to help Somalians during these especially trying times; even 25 dollars can make a difference in a family's life.
