Over 5 million people are in need of assistance at Somalia

What's happening in Somalia?

For years and years, Somalia has faced the consequence of marginalization, armed destructions, and natural disasters that have held back the progress within Somalia's society.

Our long-term goals for sustaining Somalia:

  • We want to provide emergency food/ nutrition assistance through market-based interventions that reduce acute food insecurity amongst those who are poor.
  • Form rescue plan and risk reduction activities, to save further lives and homes in future attacks.
  • Need to improve the investment climate and create jobs in sectors including livestock, farming, agri-business, fisheries, and renewable energy.
  •  Government buildings newly constructed to improve the government’s capacity to deliver vital services in the regions, along with transportation systems for further access to the mainland city.

Please donate now and help break the chains of poverty and pain for our most-vulnerable neighbors! THEY NEED YOU HELP!

Did you know that 1 in 5 children in America are living poverty? Or that nearly half of all Americans live paycheck to paycheck?

Homelessness, hunger, poverty, lack of clean water access, sanitation, and health care aren’t just international problems. They exist right here at home in our neighborhoods.

And when disaster strikes, the need for urgent aid and support grows exponentially.

Islamic Relief’s Dedication to Serving Neighbors in Need

As Islam teaches us, charity starts at home, and that’s why Islamic Relief USA is dedicated to supporting work across America that makes sure families have shelter, kids have food, and disaster survivors and refugees get the support they need.

Here’s just a sampling of our recent efforts across the U.S.

    • Serving more than 5,000 Ramadan food packages, and 21,000 Qurbani meat parcels to families in need
    • Supporting efforts that advocate for and advance services for refugees
    • Providing free health services to vulnerable neighbors
    • Bringing community-based services together through our Day of Dignity events to provide low-income and homeless individuals with access to free resources, including hygiene kits, food, haircuts, medical screening, financial advice, resume building, and more
    • Deploying Disaster Response Team members to support survivors in areas hit by devastation
