Musical Theatre Performance Cost Fundraising

As it is in the theatre world everywhere, ticket sales alone do not cover all the various expenses associated with putting on a show. For MT, without any performance related donations, each large scale production typically loses between $5,000 - $10,000. In an effort to offset those costs, we traditionally have requested a “performance fee donation” from each family involved in the show.

For some, this can be a challenge. In response to this, OCSA has implemented a crowdfunding platform that allows each student/parent to reach out to friends and family to help raise these funds.

These cash donations to the school are tax deductible per OCSA’s IRS designation as a 501(c)3 non-profit organization.

We are currently fundraising to help offset production costs for the following shows:
