Hi friends and family!

It is officially October and that means it's time for Daystar's October Thing!  Each year I have the honor of telling you about this wonderful place I work and ask you for help. Daystar is a non-profit counseling organization that sees children and adolescents. I am so proud to say that this is my TENTH year working here in the front office.  My job is speaking to parents as they call in with their concerns about their kids.  I love being able to offer them hope, and let them know they are not alone.

I also can offer them a sliding scale if they are concerned about finances.  The money we raise in October is exclusively for this sliding scale.  That means that whatever amount you donate will go directly to helping a family that otherwise couldn't afford counseling.

Here's how you can help:

• Donate: Contribute whatever you can. No amount is too small!
• Spread the Word: Share my fundraising page with your friends, family, and social networks.

So I ask you to please consider giving any amount you can to help me in my efforts as I celebrate my 10th year.

(and yes, there is a staff competition and one of my favoite hobbies is winning :)
