Aurora's Inaugural Giving Tuesday

Aurora's First Giving Tuesday and we've been given the opportunity to match a generous donation from an anonymous donor of $15,000!!! Please help us match this gift and reach our goal of $30,000. Every dollar is doubled! Your $5 is doubled to $10, $25 to $50 or even $50 to $100. Think of the impact you can make on the lives of our most vulnerable!!!

We believe your gift will allow us to strengthen our solutions for those experiencing homelessness through intensive case management supplemented with rental assistance. Connecting with more new individuals and families unfortunate enough to enter into the homeless experience.

For years, Aurora’s 5 housing programs have helped stabilize and provide opportunities for upward mobility for individuals and families experiencing homelessness but our work must continue to help many stand a fighting chance this winter. On any given night our community has 535 documented unhoused cases with many more being discovered by our Street Outreach team, one of the few in the state!

Aurora is charged with moving people from shelters and the streets to a place they can call home! Hope starts here, with your gift to help our homeless get off the street!

Giving Tuesday History

Giving Tuesday began in 2012 at the 92nd Street Y, a cultural and community center in Manhattan. Since its inception, Giving Tuesday has turned into a worldwide movement, championing radical generosity and encouraging donors to give—in ways big and small—in pursuit of making the world a better place. Giving Tuesday takes place on the Tuesday following Thanksgiving. For many nonprofits, Giving Tuesday is an important giving day that marks the beginning of the year-end fundraising season.
