My mother has lived with Parkinson’s for several years. Every week for the past few years I have joined her at the Parkinson Foundation of Oklahoma for LOUD Crowd®, a free speech therapy group that helps keep her voice volume and swallowing muscles strong. She has taken advantage of educational opportunities as well. If you know my mother, you know she is an encourager of people and I am so proud of the way she has transcended the challenges of Parkinson’s disease.
