The Alpha Gamma chapter of KA was established in 1885 and has since been a cornerstone of Greek life at LSU. Our brothers are thoughtful, hard-working men who desire to make a difference on our campus and in our community. One of the core values of all KA members is being a gentleman. Someone that knows right from wrong, and cares for those who are not able to themselves. Our chapter decided a gentleman is most importantly someone who goes out of their way to help those in need, and what better group to help than our veterans. As a chapter, we decided the most deserving candidates are those who have already gone above and beyond to protect us, and we now look to return the favor. As a collective, the Alpha Gamma chapter of KA would like to put a disabled veteran into a brand-new Track Chair, which will offer them more mobility and independence in their everyday lives. We hope that through our brotherhood and coordination with the surrounding community, we will be able to meet this goal.
