The brothers of the Alpha Eta chapter of Kappa Alpha Order at Westminster College have partnered with the Independence fund in order to raise money to purchase an all-terrain wheelchair for a wounded veteran. These specialized wheelchairs allow their recipient to live a more active lifestyle and the ability to experience nature with family and friends without having to worry about their mode of transportation. Some chairs even allow veterans to participate in other sports and activities, such as golf. We have decided to pair up with the Alpha Delta chapter at William Jewell College and Zeta Sigma chapter at Southern Illinois University Carbondale. Our chapter goal is to raise, a minimum of, $5,000.00 which equals to about 1/4 of the money needed for a new chair. Together, we hope to achieve our joint goal of $20,000.00 for a new track wheelchair. We hope that you consider helping us give back to our veterans. Fraternally.
