The Alpha Sigma Chapter was founded on October 21st, 1899, on the campus of the Georgia Institute of Technology in Atlanta, GA. In our Alumni Room, there is a constant reminder of the sacrifices service members make everyday; the memorial display case for James Hunter, who was initiated into Alpha Sigma Chapter in 1961. He graduated from Georgia Tech in 1965, and soon joined the United States Army. He fought in the Vietnam War, and was killed in action in 1967. His memorial reminds us of the sacrifices service members make for us everyday, and our duty to support them. It is in remembrance of him that we have decided to team up with Operation Kare to provide a track chair to wounded veterans.
