Kappa Alpha Order’s Sigma Chapter has been on Davidson College’s campus since 1880.  In the past, we have raised money for the Muscular Dystrophy Association and while we will continue to do so, we have decided that this year we will also fundraise for our country’s bravest individuals by partnering with the organization Operation K.A.R.E.  Operation K.A.R.E. stands for Knowledge, Awareness, Results, and Empower.  Operation K.A.R.E. provides mobility solutions to the men and women who have been injured fighting for our country's freedom.  By partnering with the organization, we will be raising money to provide Track Chairs, which handle terrain far better than normal wheelchairs, to our country’s heroes so that they can enjoy the outdoors with their families and friends. Our goal for the semester is to raise $10,000. By partnering with High Point University, this will be enough to fully fund a track chair for a wounded veteran. This is a vocation that our chapter feels strongly about and we look forward to giving back to the deserving veterans of this great country.
