My grandmother immigrated to the U.S. from Japan in the 1950s. In many ways, her experience as a first generation immigrant is not unlike that of folks today - a culture of exclusion and fear of difference continues to perpetuate discriminatory rehtoric and policy. I choose to support OneAmerica because I know they will stand firm against these attacks that we STILL face everyday in 2019.
