In November 2022, my world changed forever for the better when my daughter Maylie was born. However, despite our initial joy, we had a long road of multiple open-heart surgeries and other surgeries and procedures ahead for her to be able to live with her critical congenital heart anomalies. These days, she is happy, healthy, and thriving thanks to a dedicated team that cared for her and thanks to the science underlying the interventions she received.
