Why am I doing this? Well... to keep it simple, it's because I CAN.  The longer version goes like this.  I was fortunate enough to be raised in a supportive environment, surrounded by formal and informal supports.  Although I had struggles like any adolescent, I alway had positive, strong, consistent and dedicated adults in my corner to cheer me on. 

It has been my personal mission to serve as an advocate, mentor, leader and voice whenever I could for youth and for the greater community.  I am a firm believer in "it takes a village" and always aim to not only support by words, but by actions.

I will LITERALLY be going OVER THE EDGE in support of our local Youth Service Bureau.  I share their mission that youth should have SAFETY and STABILITY in their lives.  And I do this as a representative of the Court Appointer Special Advocate (CASA) Program of St. Joseph County.  

"If you are more fortunate than others, build a longer table not a taller fence." And that is what I'm doing, I'm building a longer table, and with your support, we can continue to add chairs to that table to better serve the youth in our community.

Marian Edelman said, "If we don't stand up for children, we don't stand up for much," and with your help I will stand ten stories above South Bend, and go Over the Edge to end Youth Homelessness.
