Our House 5K: Walk & Remember

Please join me on April 14, 2024 for the OUR HOUSE 5K: Walk & Remember at Woodley Park in Encino. This event is not just about raising funds; it's about coming together as a community to remember loved ones who have died and find healing in the shared experience of grief. And this year, multi-platinum singer/songwriter Andy Grammer will return for a special performance! His uplifting music reminds us that even in our darkest moments, there is hope.

I came to Our House in 2018 as a volunteer support group leader. My grief journey began when I was 12 years old with the sudden death of my father. I then worked as an RN witnessing death, dying, and bereavement of patients and their families. It wasn’t until my mother died in 2012 that I realized I had never been allowed to process my thoughts and feelings about grief. As a support group leader, I witness first-hand the caring and support Our House provides to new grievers and see the transformation as they learn tools to manage their grief along with finding a community among group members who connect and provide a web of support for their journey.

I am honored to recently become a member of the Board of Directors at OUR HOUSE Grief Support Center. When grief is unsupported, it can lead to physical, emotional, and social risks for children, teens, and adults. OUR HOUSE annually provides free or low-cost grief support to thousands of grievers who need kindness, support, and hope while navigating the stressors of grief.
