If you know me, you know I have experienced the deaths of so many family and friends. I have lived with grief for decades, and it will be with me until I die. Grief doesn't stop me, though, and I have found supporting others through their journey through loss brings meaning to my life. I volunteer as a group leader with Our House's School Program and serve on the Associate Board because I think about my nephews who were 5 and 8 when my first sister died. I think about my brother-in-law who is navigating his life without my brother by his side. I think about my nephew who had to say goodbye to his brother who died in a shocking turn of events only a few years after the death of my second sister, their mom. I think about one of my best friend's who died on her morning walk three months before her wedding. I think about another brother who died so quickly after his diagnosis with pancreatic cancer. I think about my incredible teachers who shaped my career and my life. I think about my Mom, my Dad, my aunts and uncles, my grandparents...

I have so many "whys". And I know that you do, too. Or you will one day.
