Walking to remember my dad

I am walking in honor of my dad. 

As many of you may or may not know, I lost my dad in June of 2023 after a long illness. He was my rock. I was lost without him. In April of 2024 I joined Ourhouse group sessions to try and do something to help with my grief. I wasn't sure what to expect or whether I'd like being in a group setting with others. It turns out that the group and those sessions changed my life for the better in so many ways! I'm not sure how I would have gotten through my grief without them. I have also made some dear lifelong friends in that group in the process. I am so honored to have their love and support, always. 

2024 was also a year of huge transformation for me. In addition to the group sessions, I embarked on a health improvement and weight loss journey. As of today I have lost 75lbs and I have a brand new outlook on life! I have been exercising, and hiking, all in a lead up to this event in April. I'm very much looking forward to it.
