Sharing Grief, Finding Hope….that is our mantra. Our annual Walk to Remember is a village/community gathering that expresses the special meaning OUR HOUSE Grief Support Center has to all who have participated, both directly and indirectly. As a Board Member for over 11 years, I’ve seen the transformational change in individuals and their families, discovering that hope is there to be found in sharing with others in the same circumstances.
The event is at lovely and green Woodley Park in Encino. Even with the cold rain last year we had well over 1,000 people attend. In the past we’ve had close to 1,800 people when it was at the concrete jungle of Sawtelle. The place lends itself to a crowd closer to that number, with it’s wide-open space.
