Volunteer with the OUR HOUSE 5K: Walk & Remember!

We are so grateful for your interest in volunteering with us for the 2026 OUR HOUSE 5K: Walk & Remember. Whether you’re a long-time volunteer that will be working with OUR HOUSE staff, or you're new to our community and want to help with the event, your time and effort make a meaningful difference in our community. 

If you are currently or have previously led an OUR HOUSE group, we invite you to inquire about volunteering with the OUR HOUSE Grief Support Center Volunteer Team. As part of the OUR HOUSE Grief Support Center Volunteer Team, you’ll play a critical role in supporting our community. Volunteers in this category will work closely with OUR HOUSE staff both leading up to the event and on the day of the event itself.

For those interested in helping with the OUR HOUSE 5K: Walk & Remember event more generally, we have a variety of volunteer opportunities during the event, including:

• Set up and break down: Helping to prepare the festival grounds before the event and clearing up afterward.
• Registration: Assisting with participant check-ins and providing event materials.
• Course marshaling: Supporting participants along the walk/run course, ensuring their safety and directing them along the path.
• Festival assistance: Helping at event booths, food stations, and supporting event activities.

Volunteers in this category play an essential role in ensuring that our event runs smoothly. Their support helps us raise the much-needed funds for our grief support programs. We offer service credit for volunteers who need hours verified for school or other programs.
