Last year Campus Life came to my school, Fall Creek Junior High, to begin a club. This group met every Thursday morning to talk about life and the love of Jesus. I volunteered, and immediately saw the impact this club was having on our 7th and 8th graders. We dove into real and crucial topics that are not addressed nearly enough. As a female teacher, sitting down with a group of girls to dive deep into the root of body image only to then brainstorm ideas on how to combat the problem was the ultimate teaching moment. Those moments occurred every Thursday morning.

This coming school year I plan on being even more involved with the Campus Life program. To start, I am participating in a fudraiding event called Indy Over the Edge. I will be repelling 17 stories down the Barnes and Thornburg building to raise money for a program that creates a safe space for my students. I am horrified, but it will all be worth it!

I do need your help to get there!! The event is September 28th and I need to raise one thousand dollars in order to particpate. Any donation, big or small will help!
