Hi friends,
Well… I’m doing it again. For the **third time**, I’ve decided it’s a great idea to clip into a rope, walk to the edge of a very tall building, and rappel down the side of it — all in the name of supporting **Camp For All**. At this point, some might call it bravery… others might call it questionable decision-making. I call it **worth it**.
If you know me, you know Camp For All has my whole heart. As a longtime supporter, a proud Camp Friends Board member, and a repeat Over The Edge participant (apparently I don’t learn), I keep coming back because what this camp does is truly life-changing.
The first time I visited Camp For All, I saw something I’ll never forget — pure joy, confidence, and belonging on the faces of children and adults with challenging illnesses, disabilities, or special needs. Once you witness that kind of impact, you can’t help but want to be part of it.
So on **April 11th**, I’ll be stepping up… and then stepping *off*… The Woodlands Towers at The Waterway. Why? Because a few moments of courage (and maybe a tiny bit of panic) on my part help fund unforgettable camp experiences for people who need them most.
My favorite part of the rappel? That split second before stepping off when your brain says, “Are we really doing this,” and your heart says, “Let’s go.” But the real reason I do it — every single time — is the campers. Their strength inspires mine.
Every gift, big or small, helps create moments of joy, independence, and confidence for campers. And if you want to join me on the ropes one day… I highly recommend it. You’ll be nervous, you’ll be proud, and you’ll never forget it.
Thank you for cheering me on, praying for safety, and supporting a mission that means so much to me.
With appreciation (and a little pre‑rappel adrenaline),
Kimbra
