My adolescent years at Coral Park Senior Highschool were marked by very pleasant experiences that made me who I am today. Sadly, it is not the case for many of our teenagers now. We live in a very convulsed world which creates an atmosphere of stress, despair, and even violence in many homes and families. This, of course, touches the lives of our youth and is transferred to all the areas of their lives including school.  

1/3 of youth report feeling sad and hopeless; 1/10 said they've made a plan to kill themselves.

34% of high school students report being physically or sexually abused by a dating partner.

Is there any hope?  

YES! I believe so.  Campus Life is offering a healthy refuge, full of hope alternative to these teenagers that try to find comfort in all sorts of things, some not conducive to their emotional or physical wellbeing. I think of my daughter and what her life looks like and what makes such a difference is the involvement of different mentors in her life and the fact that she has Christ. I’m raising money for girls her age who don’t yet have that.  

In order to help these teenagers, Youth for Christ has programs available that need our support to operate and to be advertised among the youth. This generation must know there are mentors willing to help them so they can choose better alternatives and ultimately come to Jesus, the only One who could change their path and make this world a better one for when my granddaughter becomes a teenager.
