Ox-Bow House Seed Fundraiser

I'm raising money for Ox-Bow!

I’m thrilled to be participating in a campaign to help make Ox-Bow House a permanent part of our Douglas community! I’m passionate about this cause and need your help!

For over a century, Ox-Bow has been a home for artists to explore, create, and connect. Founded in 1910, the School of Art and Artists’ Residency has nurtured generations of artists through immersive programs in an environment that fosters creativity. Today, Ox-Bow continues to expand its impact, blending history with innovation to offer year-round programming, community engagement, and support for artists at every stage of their careers.

A vital part of this mission, Ox-Bow House serves as a welcoming space for residents and visitors alike. One of the oldest buildings in Saugatuck/Douglas, this historic 1870s landmark has been transformed from a quiet fixture into a dynamic hub for exhibitions, artist talks, performances, and community engagement—reinforcing our commitment to creativity and connection.

Since its inception, Ox-Bow House has welcomed over 8,000 visitors, hosted 20 exhibitions featuring more than 60 Michigan-based artists, and generated over $60,000 in revenue—directly supporting local artists. Thanks to the generosity of our early lead donors, we have raised nearly $360,000 toward its purchase, with just $110,000 left to reach our goal.

With your support, we can complete this milestone and ensure Ox-Bow House continues to thrive as a space for artists and the community. Together, we can secure a lasting home for creativity and connection in the heart of Douglas, Michigan.
