Have you ever had that one thing that you wanted to do all the time - every hour, every minute of the day? For a lot of my life, I have. Soccer means everything to me...except maybe family and friends.
Soccer helped me get over hard things and take my mind off when I needed it. I was able to play anytime I wanted because I had the equipment and a team to play with. This all made me think, "There are people in the world who don't have the ability to do something they love every second of the day." Soccer is a universal sport, no matter where you live soccer is played the same, there's a position for everyone, it lets you make friends, and build a community and team.
Soccer Without Borders is a non-profit organization that provides soccer resources and equipment to youth in under served areas. They also provide coaches so that the kids can learn how to play and have mentors. That's why I'm fundraising for Soccer Without Borders and have made them part of my Mitzvah project.
