Butterflies, bees, dragonflies, beetles, spiders, freshwater mussels and other invertebrates sustain life as we know it. Yet many are declining due to habitat loss, pesticide use, climate change, and more. But there are steps that we can all take to help these vital animals and no action is too small. Please join me in taking a stand for invertebrates today by making a donation and/or sharing my fundraiser. Your support means the world to me!
Invertebrates matter to me because...
As Harvard entomology professor E.O. Wilson wrote, "Insects are the little things that run the world." While birdsong fills the air around us, it's a good time to remember that except for water birds, 96% of all birds feed their young insects. In other words, no bugs, no birds. Not to mention that I happen to love moths.
