If you love fur babies, you've found your team!

Our mission is to help save as many of these little lives as we possibly can; little lives who's love will become medicine for someone.

How many times have you had a terrible day that has left you in a bad mood, you've come home, opened the front door and been greeted with a wagging tail, bright, shiny eyes and big puppy kisses? You've just had some of the best medicine and your bad mood melted away.

Each and every dollar that we can raise for HSPPR is used to help care for animals that can't care for themselves.  Animals who could be someone's best medicine.

Do you see those three gorgeous fur babies representing our team this year? None of them would be alive if it weren't for the efforts of a shelter or rescue. Princess Buttercup was just a few weeks old and because she was part of a stray litter in a place that simply could not house any more animals, was scheduled to be euthanized, thankfully a rescue stepped in and saved their lives. Princess Zelda was a few weeks old when she was found, abandoned under the porch of an abandoned house. Again, a rescue brought her to Colorado, where she found her forever home. You may not recognize the youngest of our fur babies, but that is little Prince Caspian, who was our mascot last year. The never give up attitude of his amazing foster mom and support of HSPPR are the only reasons he made it through his first few weeks of life! 

My family has been through several trials and tribulations over the last few years. And honestly, I don't know where I would be right now if I didn't have my best medicine.
