I'll be traveling with Islamic Relief for a challenge in Pakistan along with about 30 people across the globe. Our goal is to team with Islamic Relief to help the local community. As you may know, 24.3% of the population in Pakistan lives below the national poverty line in 2015. In Pakistan, the proportion of the employed population below $1.90 purchasing power parity a day in 2019 is 1.3%. For every 1,000 babies born in Pakistan in 2019, 67 die before their 5th birthday. Recent flooding has spiked homelessness, disease, and deaths. We all are very blessed and it is our duty to help those less fortunate than us. Your donations are Sadaaqa Jaariya and may Allah accept them and grant you ajjar in duniya and aakiraah. If you cannot donate, please say a prayer for my safe and successful journey and please say a prayer for all those less fortunate than us. Ameen.
Islamic Relief’s Dedication to Pakistan

A few of our interventions include:
Food aid
Access to clean and safe water

Building sustainable livelihoods including innovative microfinancing plans to help low-income families start businesses
Widow empowerment
We Need YOUR Help
Thanks to you, we’ve been able to accomplish so much. But there’s still so much more to do. By continuing to support our efforts in Pakistan, you can help make a difference in the lives of those in desperate need.
Pakistan has the fifth largest population in the world. The country is sorely affected by political and economic volatility as well as natural disasters caused by climate change, both of which have led to food insecurity and chronic poverty. Marginalized groups, especially children, lack proper access to essential services. And Covid-19 has only exacerbated the situation.
On top of that, temperatures have been rising across the country since mid-March and heatwaves have resulted in drought-like conditions. In certain parts of the country, agriculture is a main source of income. Without access to water, the livestock suffer and people’s livelihoods are at risk. Islamic Relief is monitoring the situation on the ground. Our immediate response includes access to water; the provision of drought resilient crops and animal fodder for livestock; and health interventions regarding nutrition.
And with donors like you, we can do even more. This month is Islamic Relief’s largest feeding program of the year – Qurbani! With just one donation, you can provide families with meat for Eid Al-Adha. Help a family in need in Pakistan and witness the power of giving.
