I recently celebrated my four-year anniversary here, and after a 39-year career in advertising and marketing, I can sincerely say this is the most meaningful work I have ever been part of. Parc has been a beacon of hope for children and adults with intellectual and developmental disabilities for more than 72 years—and every day, I am grateful to be part of this mission. Parc’s vision is to build a community where individuals with disabilities are visible, valued, and empowered to live life to the fullest. For adults, that means opportunities to find joy and purpose, whether through campus activities, community outings, volunteering with other nonprofits, or gaining job skills that lead to long-term competitive employment. Our participants have choices, independence, and the support needed to shape their own futures. For children and their families, Parc provides hope during life’s most challenging moments. From physical therapy that helps a child take their first steps to speech therapy that gives parents the gift of hearing their child’s voice for the first time, to essential respite care for families of children with profound disabilities—every child is cherished and every family embraced. My passion for Parc is also deeply personal. I have an adult cousin and a young niece with intellectual and developmental disabilities, each on their own unique journey. Whenever I see a child or adult at Parc reaching a new milestone, it reminds of my own family and how powerful support, connection, and opportunity truly are. Working at Parc allows me to witness everyday miracles. These moments are possible because of people like you.
