Join me and Lucy the Magnificent to bring another victory to Team Claws this year! 

Lucy was the first cat I adopted as a fledgling adult during my first stint working at LCHS. She was approximately 2 years old and had come in after being hit by a car and had a nasty pelvic fracture to show for it. She was given strict instructions to stay off of her feet and crate rest while her fracture healed but ain't nobody going to tell Miss Lucy what to do. Every single day when I went in to care for the cats in her ward, she would be on her feet rubbing against the kennel door and looking at me with those big ol' green eyes like I was the only one in her world. It would have been just plain rude not to take her home after all her schmoozing. 

If it weren't for LCHS, I would not have had the pleasure of caring for Lucy for the past 16 years. Come January, she will be 18 years old! Lucy is my best friend, she's my pal. She's my homegirl, my sweet cheese. My good-time girl. She is my ride-or-die gato! Lucy has been with me through all of lifes journeys, and while she has ALWAYS had a lot to say in the matter (seriously, she talks ALL OF THE TIME), she has NEVER let me down and has always had ALL of the love to share.
