Hi everyone!

As I’m sure a lot of you already know, animals have always been a big part of my life. I grew up in a house full of cats and dogs, and I spent most of my childhood planning on becoming a veterinarian to make helping animals a permanent part of my life. As it turns out, I’m pretty squeamish, and honestly, not that great at science – not a winning combination for practicing veterinary medicine.

Instead I found my talents lie in writing and media production. When I saw a communications opening at Paws4ever, a nonprofit animal sanctuary in Mebane, NC, I knew that was where I needed to be.

While I won’t be walking October 10th (someone’s gotta make the festivities happen for everyone else!) I will be joining the staff on the trail at a later date. I’m walking in memory of the cats and dogs who have made a difference in my life and are no longer with me, and for all of the animals at Paws4ever still waiting to find loving homes.
