I am raising funds for the Humane Society of Charlotte during their annual fund raising campaign, Pet Palooza. 
I am a regular volunteer there each week, I particularly enjoy working in the vet department and feeding, cleaning and socializing the cats. Even doing laundry is fun, starting with a HUGE pile of dirty bedding etc and ending up with clean soft blankets ready to give back to the animals. 
Last year over 3,000 cats and dogs were adopted, finding their for ever loving homes. Cat and dog food, toys, litter etc were distributed to members of the community in need, low cost veterinary care is available and there is a much expanded education department. Youngsters have been learning how to properly care for animals and taken part in many fun activities. There is a very large foster program, enabling space to be made available in the shelter. 

I would be very grateful if you would consider donating, even $5 or $10 to my fund raising campaign to help animals like Lego. Lego is the sweetest dog who came to the shelter recently. At some point he had a broken leg which had not healed as it should. The wonderful vet team ended up having to amputate his hind leg. Lego started his recovery in a loving foster home and was very soon adopted where he is continuing to heal.
