That’s why we're running in the Empty Bowls 5K Crit Run during the Winston-Salem Cycling Classic.
In Northwest North Carolina, 1 in 6 people don’t have consistent and reliable access to healthy food—and for children the situation is even worse with 1 in 4 children in our area being food insecure. Second Harvest Food Bank works hard year-round to make sure that families in our communities have enough to eat and that is why we are supporting them through this awesome event.
We know that every step we take May 26th will be helping to fill the bowls, cupboards and fridges of local families… and we are asking for your help. Every $5 you give to support this event will help Second Harvest provide 35 meals as well as provide programming such as cooking classes, low cost recipes, and support to local food pantries.
