My dad would have been 88 this year! In honor of his strength, his zest for the outdoors, and his legacy, we're reassembling Team Herminator this year for the 2024 PFF Walk.
Join us on September 28 by going for a walk in honor of all those affected by PF. Did you know you can only live 3 minutes without oxygen? Our lungs are powerful machines. Let's take them for a walk!
I am proud to be fundraising for the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation (PFF) as we walk together toward a cure for pulmonary fibrosis (PF) at the PFF Walk 2024. The PFF Walk supports the Foundation’s efforts to accelerate research, to advance improved care for those living with the disease, and to provide unequaled support and education resources for patients, caregivers, family members, and healthcare providers. The org's website offers exceptional information and support about the disease - it's bar none in its educational content.
And there has been progress since Dad succumbed to the disease! Unfortunately, I know two people right now with PF and they have new therapy options available. I've read some of the case studies on the PF Instagram - it's inspiring to know there's more than just a lung transplant to extend the prognosis.
