I am proud to be fundraising for the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation (PFF) as we walk together toward a cure for pulmonary fibrosis (PF) at the PFF Walk 2024. Join me in supporting this vital cause by donating to my fundraising efforts.
Pulmonary fibrosis (PF) is a condition that causes lung tissue to become thickened, stiff, and scarred. The lungs eventually lose their ability to transfer oxygen into the bloodstream, making everyday activities such as breathing and walking extremely difficult. Every individual diagnosed with pulmonary fibrosis has a unique experience with the disease, and there is no “standard” or expected clinical course. With no known cure, the disease is often fatal within three to five years of diagnosis. There are over 250,000 Americans living with PF today. Approximately 50,000 new cases are diagnosed each year.
The PFF Walk supports the Foundation’s efforts to accelerate research, to advance improved care for those living with the disease, and to provide unequaled support and education resources for patients, caregivers, family members, and healthcare providers.
