Walking in Honor of Our Mom – Polly’s Posse
This year, our family is coming together to walk in honor of our beloved mom, who passed away in April at the age of 94 after bravely living with pulmonary fibrosis. While we were blessed to have her for so many years, this disease slowly took her breath and eventually her life — and sadly, too many others are facing the same struggle.
Pulmonary fibrosis affects more than 250,000 Americans, with nearly 50,000 new cases diagnosed each year. It’s a progressive and incurable lung disease that gradually scars the lungs and makes it harder to breathe. Awareness and research are still critically underfunded — and that’s why we’re walking.
We’ll be walking virtually on Saturday, September 27th as Polly’s Posse, to honor Mom’s beautiful life, raise awareness, and support the fight to find better treatments and a cure.
