PFF Walk 2025

Blooming for Linda

Together toward a cure for pulmonary fibrosis

Your donation gets our team one step closer to our goal

------------------------

We are proud to be fundraising for the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation (PFF) as we walk together toward a cure for pulmonary fibrosis (PF) at the PFF Walk 2025. Join us in supporting this vital cause by donating to our fundraising efforts.

This year we remember 10 years since the passing of our mother and grandmother, Linda Dunkerley — whose faith, integrity, and love continue to guide and inspire us. Her legacy of love and faith continues to bloom through her family, and by joining our team or donating to our efforts, you help carry forward Linda’s legacy and make a difference for families affected by PF today.

Pulmonary Fibrosis is a devastating disease that causes scarring in the lungs and makes it difficult to breathe. The PFF Walk supports the Foundation’s efforts to accelerate research, advance improved care for those living with the disease, and provide invaluable support and education for patients, caregivers, families, and healthcare providers.

Together, we walk in faith, in love, and in Linda’s memory — keeping her garden of hope blooming.

Your gift will power progress, and we appreciate your generosity in supporting a cause that is important to us!

For more information on how your gift will make a difference in the lives of PF patients and their families, please visit pulmonaryfibrosis.org.

We are grateful for your support as we walk together toward a cure.

About Linda  (Written by Jessica Fredericksen)

For those of you who didn’t have the chance to know my grandmother, Linda, I want to share a glimpse of who she was to me.

Linda was a spitfire — full of determination, quick to speak up if something didn't seem right to her, and fiercely committed to fighting Pulmonary Fibrosis as hard as she could. She was always ready to teach someone something new and always eager to share a craft project, recipe, book, or Bible verse. I can almost picture her in heaven now, peppering God with all her questions, and I can’t wait for the day when I’ll see her again and hear the answers she’s uncovered.

When she became a grandmother, she poured out love on my sister and me in a way that showed her deep faith and her desire to make the most of every moment. One of my favorite memories is putting her favorite song on Grandpa's jukebox in the basement and then running up the stairs to join her as we stomped our feet and clapped in the kitchen, laughing as we reveled in the joy of the simple dance she made up. She was so involved in her church community and I had the chance to attend a couple of her Bible studies when I was in college. She handed me a copy of The Screwtape Letters and talked to me about how God has worked in her life. She would often exclaim, “Integrity!” — a word that still echoes in my mind and heart.

Linda’s faith, her laughter, her love, and her determination remain with us. They are the roots of Blooming for Linda, and this walk is our way of carrying her spirit forward while working toward a future with hope and healing for all families facing Pulmonary Fibrosis. She would be so proud to see us advocating and walking in her memory to raise awareness and to make a difference in this disease.
