I'm walking for a cure

I signed up for the PFF Walk to raise funds and build awareness as we walk together toward a cure at the PFF Walk! 

This cause is near and dear to my heart. My uncle battled through ILD for 2 years. He was given the gift of life in the form of a double lung transplant in October of 2024 and for that we are forever grateful. Not long after his transplant my mother received the same diagnosis. Unfortunately that diagnosis was quickly followed by a breast cancer diagnosis which was very early stage and contained but still prevented her from receiving the same life-saving gift as her brother and we lost her just over a year later. She was so full of life and watching her struggle to breathe and lose the ability to do the things she loved was heartbreaking and I want to do whatever I can to ensure that others do not have to endure the same struggles. 

More than 250,000 Americans are living with pulmonary fibrosis (PF) alone, and funds raised by the PFF Walk help accelerate research, empower our community, and transform care so that everyone with PF and interstitial lung disease (ILD) can live a better life.
