I'm Walking for A Cure

It is truly personal.  Join me in the Fight Against Pulmonary Fibrosis

We watched my dad, Ricky, bravely battle this disease before losing him to it last year. A decade before him his mom suffer and be defeated by Pulmonary Fibrosis. At least two of her siblings also lost their lives to lung and pulmonary complications long before this disease was widely understood. A few years ago, our uncle was fortunate to My daddy’s brother was blessed with a life-saving double lung transplant after struggling to breathe due to advanced Pulmonary Fibrosis.

This disease has touched so many in my family—both immediate and extended - and today, multiple members are living with it. Because this form of Pulmonary Fibrosis has a genetic component, it places my entire family—myself, my sister, my sons, my niece, nephew, aunts, uncles, and future generations—at an elevated risk.  That reality makes this fight deeply personal and fuels our determination to raise awareness, support research, and help find better treatments—and one day, a cure.

Today, more than 250,000 Americans are living with pulmonary fibrosis. Funds raised through the PFF Walk help accelerate critical research, support patients and families, and improve care for those living with PF and interstitial lung disease.

You can help make a difference.

I’ve signed up for the PFF Walk in Tampa to raise funds and awareness as we walk together toward a cure—and I would be truly honored to have your support.  It takes place on Saturday, April 18th at Gadsden Park in Tampa, Florida.

Here are two ways to support:

Every step we take and every dollar raised brings us closer to hope—hope to families like mine and ones all over the world for better treatments, stronger lungs, and ultimately, a cure.

Thank you for your love, encouragement, and support. It truly means the world to me and my family.
