Walking together toward a cure
The PFF Walk is for everyone. Whether you are a patient living with pulmonary fibrosis (PF) or interstitial lung disease (ILD), have received a lung transplant, or are a caregiver, family member, friend, or healthcare professional, the PFF Walk celebrates you and your commitment to our shared goal: finding a cure. The PFF Walk brings people together to raise funds, build awareness, and breathe hope into the pulmonary fibrosis and interstitial lung disease community. By walking with us, you join thousands of individuals across the country working to accelerate research, empower our community, and transform care so that everyone living with PF and ILD can experience a better quality of life.
This year is especially important for our family. For the first time, we have come together to take part in something like this in her honor. It has been a journey of healing after the loss of the light of our lives: our mother Hilda, a devoted wife, a loving mother, and the best grandmother we could have ever had.
In her memory, we have decided to get involved, give back, and support the research, the incredible doctors, and the ongoing work toward a cure. Joining the PFF Walk is our way of carrying her love forward and helping others facing the same fight.
Your support will not only make a meaningful impact for countless patients and families, but it will also remind our family that we are not alone. If a donation isn’t possible, sharing this link or joining us at the Pulmonary Fibrosis Foundation Walk would mean the world to us.

La Caminata de la PFF es para todos: pacientes con fibrosis pulmonar o ILD, trasplantados, cuidadores, familiares, amigos y profesionales de la salud. Este evento celebra tu compromiso con el objetivo que compartimos: encontrar una cura. Al caminar, te unes a miles de personas para recaudar fondos, crear conciencia y llevar esperanza a quienes viven con PF e ILD.
Este año es especialmente importante para nuestra familia. Por primera vez, nos hemos unido para participar en algo así en su honor. Ha sido un camino de sanación tras la partida de la luz de nuestras vidas: nuestra madre Hilda, una esposa dedicada, una madre amorosa y la mejor abuela que pudimos tener.
En su memoria, decidimos apoyar la investigación y el trabajo hacia una cura. Su apoyo ayudará a muchas familias y nos recordará que no estamos solos. Si no puede donar, compartir este enlace o acompañarnos en la caminata sería un gesto invaluable.

Event details
The PFF Walk - Bay Area will include an inspiring Opening Ceremony, a one-mile or two-mile. walk along the San Francisco Bay Trail, and an opportunity to honor loved ones and connect with other members of the PF and ILD community. After the walk, we invite you to stay for a celebration with family-friendly activities and light refreshments.
Date & time: Saturday, August 15, 2026
10:00 a.m. – Check-in and registration opens
10:45 a.m. – Opening Ceremony and step-off
11:45 a.m. – Celebration party
Location: Little Marina Green
Address: 3650 Yacht Rd. San Francisco, CA 94123
Parking: Limited street parking will be available on Yacht Road. Additional parking is available nearby in the Yacht Club or Crissy Field parking lots (approximately a 5-minute walk to Little Marina Green). A drop-off point will be available in front of the walk-site.
About the route: Participants will walk on the San Francisco Bay Trail and enjoy views of the Golden Gate Bridge for their choice of a one-mile or two-mile walk. Keep an eye out for signage to direct you throughout the course. Not interested in walking? You can still join us! After the Opening Ceremony, stay at the walk-site to visit sponsor booths, enjoy the activities, and connect with others.
