We are once again launching our $22 for 22q13 campaign to raise funds for the Phelan-McDermid Syndrome Foundation in memory of Shannon. This year marks what would have been her 25th birthday, the second birthday we cannot celebrate with her in person, but her spirit, laughter, and determination are as present as ever.

Thanks to your generosity last year, more than $47,000 was raised in Shannon’s name. Those funds are now fueling the Shannon O’Boyle Memorial Grant, a $100,000 annual award that drives research into the neuropsychiatric challenges faced by individuals with PMS. The 2024 grant is already hard at work — supporting a groundbreaking project to improve psychiatric symptom monitoring and treatment for the PMS community. We are very excited about the 2025 grant recipient announced earlier this week.
