Kinzey will be turning 27 this month on October 22nd, which is also the International Phelan-McDermid Syndrome Awareness Day.  As many of you know, Kinzey was diagnosed at age 4 with Phelan-McDermid Syndrome, which effects her brain development, speech and language skills, and motor skills.  It has been a long and challenging road to get to where we are now, and will continue to be, but the path has been easier because of the support from the PMS Foundation.  The Foundation has been hosting family conferences, leading small group discussions online, connecting families, and most importantly supporting research efforts with grants to the scientific community.  We hope these efforts will continue to provide answers, and make Kinzey's life a bit easier in the future.
