I want to express my heartfelt thanks for taking a moment to visit my fundraising page.

My commitment to making a difference has led me to participate in the Congenital Heart Walk, an event that carries immense significance for me, as this honors my heart warrior, Luke Leonetti. It's not just a walk; it's a stride toward changing lives. This endeavor is all about supporting The Children's Heart Foundation and their crucial mission - advancing the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of congenital heart defects through groundbreaking research.

Our heart warrior Luke was born with Complete AVSD in which we found out when I was 22 weeks pregnant. By 1 month old he was not gaining weight (actually losing weight instead) and was getting worse, by nearly 2 months old he was in congestive heart failure. He was on multiple medications and it just wasn't working, he was now deemed failure to thrive. No matter what we did, he needed immediate medical attention thus by 2.5 months old he received open heart surgery. Our son is a warrior, a fighter and though his diagnosis will always be long term and came with other issues as well, he is now a thriving 5 year old boy.
